How to upload images without the grey border or ext. Links
von admin » Mi 1. Jul 2009, 17:18
Hi
this is a short description on how to present your images nicer. There is a trick with this software, which not many people seem to know.
Please bear in mind, that we do not allow external linking of images. Images have to be uploaded on our server. As the past showed us, external links are not valid anymore after a while and then the whole thread is worthless. Image discussions with external links will be deleted without notice.
But you can upload images directly into the forum within your posting without this ugly grey border around it.
You can upload one or several images within one posting. You can also write text between these images.
To be able to show your images without this grey border, it is mandatory that you follow the steps described below. You need to user the "paper clip" icon twice.
Images without a grey border around it look like this:
The first image...

Then you write a text like I do it now and move the second image afterwards....

and finally a third image...

How you can do this? See the following description:

This is a short description of how to upload images without this grey border around it.
First and foremost, you have to keep in mind that you need the "paperclip" button twice. If you use it only once, it will not work!
1.) click on the marked paperclip button (yellow circle): a window will open...

2.) Click on the button "Browse". You have to search & select the image, which you wnat to upload on your computer. Click on upload. If you have more than one image which you want to show in one posting, you can also upload all at the same time and insert them later in a specific order.

3.) The correctly uploaded images appear now in a small pop-up window (see yellow circle in the screenshot). You can close now the pop-up window.

Attention: You have to click AGAIN on the paperclip button! Now you will see at the paperclip a pull-down menu with the anmes of teh iamges you uploaded in teh step before. You can now click on upload all or select a specific image of them to insert it exactly at the place where the cursor was in the textbox before. See screenshot:

Now you can see the code which show where the images will be displaed later on. Each image is a " " .
Do not overwrite anything of this. You can move it where you want to, you can write a line higher or lower your text.

Please bear in mind, that normal users have different image upload sizes (Pixel and KB) than Club-members. With the Club-membership we try to cover at least some of the costs of this community. You can see the size for your individual userlevel in the upload window while uploading. If you want to upgrade to Club-level, look in your control panel for the Club membership subscriptions.
Have fun with uploading your images!
